Pray.

Mom had a successful surgery this morning to implant the defibrillator. When they tried to wake her up, her heart stopped. The defib started it again, but then it stopped again. She was in a continuous state of heart stopping and starting. They attempted this 6 times.

She is now in a sedative induced coma. It is not good. We are going to see her.

Please pray. Pray with all your might. I beg you.

    Oh my goodness, I just thought I'd stop by for some cute pictures of your kids, I had no idea I'd be reading what I just read. I hope so badly that they figure things out and that all is well.     What the heck! This came out of nowhere, I am in shock. I am very sorry Elise and will for sure be praying for your Mom and family. You're so right, she is super-fit and young and chipper, all of those things... Weird. I'm so glad your Dad was there. I need to know more when you're up to it, like WHY did they think that happened?

    Elise, we are praying for you, your family, and our dear Betsy! There is no one greater than her. I still find it odd what a small world it is that we got to know "Jeff's nephew's wife" BEFORE she was ever Jeff's nephew's wife! But we did...and we couldn't love a family more than the Winters. Especially dear, sweet, smiling, happy Betsy. (AND Karlee, too! It seems like yesterday that I was her CTR 7 Primary teacher!)
