We've been trying to prepare Weston for a surgery since he was about 3 months old. We've had to reschedule the surgery once because he had a fever of 105 the day before surgery. Thank you swine flu.
So his surgery was scheduled for the end of this month. But then On Monday I took him to his pediatrician for his six month exam. Instead of giving him his immunizations, she prescribed an antibiotic and diagnosed the kid with RSV, bronchialitis, and double ear infections. Time to reschedule surgery again.
And in an effort to keep him healthy, I've had to put off preschool indefinitely.
Oh boy.
Every time I see your post title on my list, I worry that it is some reference to a terrible complication for your mom. I really need to see a therapist or something. Thanks, Elise!
ReplyDeleteWait, why did she prescribe antibiotics?
ReplyDeleteFor the ear infections.
ReplyDeleteDarling Elise, I hate to break it to you, but God is trying to talk to you. You are too busy for preschool. And all other things that don't directly involve keeping your children clothed, fed and relatively clean.
ReplyDeleteI know I'm just projecting because that's about all I manage to do in a day, but seriously. You can do preschool when you're an empty nester, waiting for the girls to give you grandchildren.
Or maybe, there is a reason he shouldn't be having the surgery. It seems too much of a coincidence that his body has turned against itself as the surgery dates approaches ... over and over again. Just a thought. You’re in my prayers! : )
ReplyDeleteElise, I am so sorry! We just came home from the doctor the other day with double ear infections, bronchialitis and a nebulator! Man, it must be going around! So ready for some nice weather. Hope you guys get better soon!
ReplyDeleteElise,
ReplyDeleteyou are so amazing. I couldn't imagine going through everything you are right now. Prayers and cyber hugs are heading your way.
btw - what is Weston supposed to be having surgery for?
